Death of a Butterfly

"In dreams you don't need to make any distinctions between things. Not at all. Boundaries don't exist. So in dreams there are hardly ever collisions. Even if there are, they don't hurt. Reality is different. Reality bites. Reality, reality."

I always have trouble with introductions, but I'll do my best.

I'm an anything but average (yet ironically sort of boring) female born in 1980 under the influence of Libra.

I graduated high school in 98'. I have an Associates degree in general tech with specialization in videography and graphic design. I worked at a movie theater as a projectionist for 6 years. It was a low paying slacker job, but I loved it.

I'm married with 2 kids. My son has a rare chromosomal abnormality known as XXYY. I also have a little girl who is full of energy! I devote pretty much all of my time and energy to my job and taking care of my children. In my free time (assuming I'm lucky enough to find it), I enjoy reading and writing.

I don't really get to travel, but I'm obsessed with Vancouver and Japan. I would give an eye to travel to those destinations; a kidney if I could make Vancouver my permanent residence.

My favorite actor is Alessandro Juliani. I have a huge crush on the guy, so I guess that makes me an AJ fangirl. Poor AJ! I also have a strange attraction to Kirsten Dunst, though I don't consider myself bi. I have yet to figure that out.

I love Japanese literature and history. I also love their junkfood! I'm a huge anime fan and Death Note is one of my favorite obsessions. I am a HUGE fan of L Lawliet! I've been watching anime since I was 4 years old. I've never been to an anime convention, but it's on my list of things to do before I die.

I love reading stories of all kinds. My current library fixation is the Southern Vampire series (Sookie Stackhouse novels), by Charlaine Harris. I'm also reading a lot of Haruki Murakami books lately. I think it's safe to say he is my favorite author.

I'm an extremely hard person to relate to and I'm pretty introverted. I have many interests, but I unfortunately lack the social skills and, to a degree, the intellect to discuss them in depth with other people who share those interests. =/ I often have a hard time striking up a conversation with people unless I am spoken to first.

Despite the difficulty I have with socializing, I still enjoy at least trying to talk to people. So don't get the idea that I'm totally unapproachable.

Things that are good to know if you actually plan on reading anything I write:

**Most Important**
I have friends and family from almost ALL different walks of life whom have very strong opinions about certain things. Because I have to constantly sugarcoat things on Facebook so that I don't offend any of them, I WILL NOT be doing that here!!! This is MY personal space to be myself and say whatever the hell I feel like. If I happen to have an opinion- be it strong or open- and it just happens to be different than yours, please just know that I'm not trying to insult your own views on things. I try and respect everyone's out-takes on life regardless of whether or not I agree with them. In other words, don't take something personal and flame the hell out of me for it! Not saying I'm not open to argument, I just don't want a war. Is that cool with you?

1- I adore writing poetry and short stories (though I'm not a strong writer), so you'll see a lot of it.

2- Due to very limited computer time, I'm infamous for typing errors. I'm very lucky when I actually have the time to run a spell check and that isn't often. Deal with it.

3- I have a very bad habit of rambling! Be warned!

4- I am an anime freak!!!! I'm obsessed with L Lawliet from Death Note! In fact I can honestly say he's my favorite character, not only in the world of manga and anime, but in the world of fiction! I will probably be posting a couple of fanfics of him in the future when I have time to sit down and write them!

5- If you see that I'm using an icon you made, then please let me know. I'll either give credit where it is due or remove it. Your choice. I get most of them from Photobucket. I'm not creative enough to make my own nor do I even know how.

6- I'll normally post videos or photos when doing reviews to give my readers a little more feel for the topic I'm discussing. If you find something I'm sharing that belongs to you and don't want it on my page, please tell me and I will promptly remove it.

"Whatever it is you're seeking won't come in the form you're expecting."
